How to use the skin editor

Change any skin in your browser — paint, pick colours, preview in 3D and save the PNG.

The skin editor runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere: the file never leaves your computer.

Start from a skin on this site

Open any skin and press Edit this skin. The editor opens with that texture already loaded, so you can recolour a hoodie or redraw a face without starting from scratch.

Start from your own file

Open the editor and drop a 64×64 PNG onto it. Older 64×32 skins work too.

Tools

Paint a single pixel, fill an area, pick a colour already in the skin, or erase back to transparency — erasing matters for hats and jackets, where transparent pixels are what lets the layer underneath show through.

Save

Press Download to save the PNG, then apply it the same way as any other skin — see how to apply a skin.
